The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity is a Greek letter, secret, college social fraternity. It is composed of men who share similar ideals of friendship, truth, honor and loyalty. The Fraternity's goals are to advance the educational and literary interests of its members as well as promote social interaction and to make, maintain and uphold a high standard of life and happiness for its members by uniting them in closer bonds of friendship and brotherly union.

The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity was founded at Fresno State on December 6, 1986. It is affiliated with the prestigious Golden West Region of Pi Kappa Alpha. Ever since its Colony days Iota Beta has made an immediate impact in the campus community. As part of the fraternity with the largest average chapter size in North America, Fresno State Pikes represent one of the most renowned and successful greek organizations on campus, as they are showcased by a core group of quality active members. Iota Beta Pikes have excelled in all aspects of college life in the chapter's brief history on campus.
